Included in this large collection of pentecostal sermons you’ll find many original, pentecostal sermons by Rev. Boyd G. Coday and his wife Mary Lee Coday.
Rev. Boyd and Mary Lee Coday faithfully ministered as Sr. Pastors to a small handful of churches in the 50′s and early 60′s across Iowa and Missouri.
First Assembly in Saint Clair, Missouri was their last church. It was the church that Boyd and his young son, Michael Dean, built together.
The building still stands today, but is now owned by the St. Clair, Missouri school district.
After Rev. Boyd G. Coday passed away in the early 60′s, Mary Lee went to work for Evangelist Oral Roberts who was starting a Bible School in Tulsa Oklahoma. She was a friend to the Roberts’ family and eventually became Oral’s Sr. Prayer Partner.
Mary Lee answered the difficult mail sent to Oral Roberts. If she was not able to answer a question, she would walk over to Oral’s office and they would come up with the right reply together.
Mary Lee passed away in 2007. She spent her last days living with her only child, my father, Michael Dean Coday Sr. They lived just around the corner from her only Grand Daughter, Merrie Jolene, in Owasso, OK.
She was laid to rest in a spot reserved for her 40 years earlier next to her beloved Boyd at Greenlawn in Springfield, MO.
The last time I saw Grandma, I leaned down and she grabbed my cheeks while sitting in her chair. I earnestly looked into her eyes while she said goodbye without whispering a word.
I have a hard time thinking about my Grandma without remembering her favorite encouragement… “Love each other, be good to each other, and put Jesus first.”
May you enjoy these free sermons and sermon outlines as they were originally preached by Rev. Boyd G. and Mary Lee Coday.
May the words of Jesus strengthen, encourage, and rebuke you with the same power and conviction they have on me as I type them.
