A Place of Blessing

God promised us a place of blessing. Beth Moore, in her book, “Believing God,” talks of a promised place of blessing.

She shares scripture such as “All good gifts come from the Father above.” God wants to give us His good gifts, but we must do our part to receive these wonderful gifts of joy, peace, love and provision.

God is so happy when we cooperate with His words so He can bless us. Much like we are when we give our kids conditions for reward. When they meet our standards and expectations, we are over-joyed to pour out blessings on them.

God is a good Father and only wants what is best for us. He says, “If you will, then I will.” His word is full of commandments with promises. All of His promises are yes and Amen to then that believe.

God has a promised land for us. He wants us to enter into this land of blessing. Why is it that so many of us never make it in, or at least, not permanently? Beth tells us that “Blessing is bowing down to receive the expressions of divine favor that in the inner recesses of the human heart and mind make life worth the bother.”

Teach us, Lord, to enter into the promised land you have for us. That we might experience your good gifts. Help us to be obedient to your Word and to do our part so that we can have the blessings you have desired for us to receive.

I’m thankful for Bethe Moore’s teachings and resources. She has poured life changing truth into my life. They have helped me to grow and mature in my relationship with Christ. We need women of God that have gone before us and can show us the way into the land that God has promised us.
